Chicana Service Action Center offers comprehensive support and employment training programs. Our non profit organization provides counseling, emergency services such as clothing, personal grooming items, vouchers for hotels and food for survivors of rape and battery. All services are free and confidential. Volunteers accompany victims to the hospital and help them navigate through the judicial system. We provide workshops on self defense, parenting, AIDS-HIV, along with those on Date Rape.

The purpose of Nobel/Women is to improve the lives of Black women through education and training, and to increase the number of Black women in local, state, and national elected and appointed offices. Each year Nobel/Women focuses its attention on one legislative issue; in 1989 the issue was at-risk youth. Nobel/women supports, sponsors, and authors legislation, gives testimony at public hearings, serves on national, local and corporate boards, and joins with others to promote career opportunities for Black women.
