The Centre for the Study on Women Workers was established as a governmental organization, under the authority of the Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs. The centre belongs to the Research Institute for Labour Sciences and Social Affairs. Since its start, the number of staff members has increased from 4 to 10. CSWW is active in research and publishes it findings itself. The organization has collected statistical data on women workers in Vietnam and has conducted research projects on various related topics. CSWW also organizes training workshops for women leaders. Languages: English and Vietnamese.

Women's studies were introduced in Vietnam in the late 1980s. In 1987, the Centre for Family and Women's Studies was officially founded. In 1989 the Information, Documentation and Library Department was established to strengthen and support research activities on women and the family. The centre is part of the government infrastucture, has a collection of 5000 titles and is run by 3 full-time employees. Languages: Vietnamese, English, French.
